What does imagery have to do with your business? Everything. What does imagery have to do with commercial photography? Everything.

Imagery, according to a Random House Dictionary is the formation of mental images, figures, or likenesses of things.

When we consult with a client we always ask them these questions. Who is the audience, what message are we trying to convey and if this is a product what does it do or how is this different from someone else's product.

But sometimes it needs to go deeper. If your product is not any different than someone else's (ie:you all sell the same brand of purses), then we need to discuss taking your images to the next level.

Maybe we need to show someone using your product in different ways, giving your audience an idea of how useful and versatile your product can be. Or perhaps you sell a product that works well with another product that a potantial client wouldn't get somewhere else. Lastly, maybe your product or service will make your potential client feel a certain way. These are all things that can be added to your product photography to help catch the attention of your potential clients. And, these are all things that a good photographer can help you convey with the clever use of photography.

So the next time you are putting together a marketing piece, a brocuhure or catalog, think about adding captivating pictures that will help your audience "experience" your product through images and help them imagine what it would be like to own your product or utilize your service.
