One of the best parts of where our studio is located is that we are right above one of Birmingham's best kept secret. A restaurant called Jakes café. Jakes café is a Caribbean style restaurant right here in Hoover Alabama. They have some of the best jerk chicken around! We have the luxury of not only being able to eat there as often as we want, but we also got to taste the menu when we shot it for the owners website. They have an amazingly friendly staff, great food, and a beautiful location.
The owner called me to set up a shoot where we rolled out a couple of new dishes. We brought in lights, got the area staged and ready to go, and had the back of the house start pumping out food dishes for us to shoot. We had so much fun talking to the staff, tasting all the food, and of course photographing it. We hope you get a chance to check out Jake's café and all of the great food!
